Welcome to my author page!

I am Annemarie Botha,

I began to write a few years as a pathway to my healing. I share a glimpse of my experience because I know I am not the only woman to ever go through it.

I write about the collective experiences of my life, the good things and the not-so-good things. To me, thoughts are beautiful sentences with deep meaning that can serve as motivation and act as morale boosters. They can provide needed wisdom for life when wisdom is needed.

I started writing thoughts to escape my reality. That is where I learned that it is sometimes good for me to push myself out of my comfort zone. I had to become willing to break the chains that kept me from being my authentic and best self.

After my marriage of 30 years ended, I literally felt defeated. I felt scared of the world.  It took me a long time to love myself just the way I am.  For the first time in my life, I chose myself above anything else.

Now, I am following my soul's voice. I no longer allow self-doubt to dictate how I live my life.  I am learning and evolving.  I am growing more and more each day. I am getting stronger. I stopped minimizing my potential and diminishing my worthiness.

My tears are a sign of my inner strength and my encouragement to keep moving forward. Knowing this feels good and gives me comfort. No matter how difficult and how painful things feel, I am standing up straight.

I have learned that the scars that cannot be seen are the scars that wounded our hearts the most. My scars are the evidence that healing has taken place in my body, in my mind, and in my heart. Memories of the pain may linger but my scars will remind me of the pain that my healing has taken away.

I have learned that life is full of beauty and it is to be lived to the fullest without regret. I have learned that there is a divine light alive within me. It is greater than daily worries and the energy of negative people.

My latest work, Another Chance, Sea of Thoughts, is my gift of love to myself, to you, and to as many as it will reach out and touch. All my hopes, my work will touch you where you feel. All my hopes desire it to liberate you and empower you to follow your dreams to become your best and most authentic self.
